The New Maruti Ertiga, And The Huge Demand It Received

Spread the love

The Ertiga has proved to be yet another story of success for Maruti Suzuki. In the six years that it has existed, Maruti has succeeded in selling over four lakh units of the Ertiga, thus allowing it to become one of the most desired MPVs along with the other favorite Toyota Innova. A simple review of the petrol version, of the car leaves one impressed the diesel car doesn’t fail to stand up to our expectations even for a second.

And now when the company has come up with a new model, it is getting love from all.

With its features and affordable price range, its high demand from customers comes as no surprise. The seven seat car starts from 7.44 lakh onwards and its highest model ends at about 10.9 lakh. With an appreciable mileage of 18.69-25.47kmpl, it’s transmission system is available as both manual and automatic and its engine has the capacity of 1248-1462 cc.

Ertiga has been modeled on the basis of the the Heartect platform which also corroborates the Baleno and the Swift. We can easily say that the fresh version of Ertiga, although it is much bigger, is lighter by 20kg.

One can notice that it is not like the old car which appeared stale and unexciting; the new Ertiga’s looks are much more trendy and premium. The grille at the front has shades of chrome that make it look upmarket and the swept back projector headlamps is definitely in style. The front bumper is chiseled and has boomerang shaped parts around the fog lamps which help it look new and stylish. But it’s in the silhouette where the new Ertiga has really grown for which its longer dimensions can be thanked. The car’s silhouette is really suave all thanks to the larger wheels, the floating roof design and the two prominent creases running across the doors. The back however might not really be to our tastes as it looks like a mashup of the old Ertiga and the Ciaz sedan.

Now the demand,

It won’t be an exaggeration if I would say that people ha gone crazy over this new model. According to the reports there are 40K + bookings are done all over the India, which is way more than what the company expected. People are waiting eagerly for their turn to come.

Look at this letter a customer got from the company –

Booked in late November but will get the car in April!!!

Altogether the car is very much desirable and if you’re thinking of getting your own, you are in the right track!
